Minor Home Repair Program for Seniors assists senior homeowners (including mobile homes) who do not have the financial resources for minor health and safety repairs. A grant up to $500 per year ($1500 lifetime) can be used to pay for these repairs. Must be 62 years and low income. The City of Redding also has an emergency repair program. Call for more information.

SHHIP provides payment assistance with utility bills (HEAP program) and home improvement projects for low – income households. This is only while funds are available and the criteria is met. They cover residents in Shasta and Tehama County. Call for more information.
