Dignity Health Connected Living

Connected Living helps seniors and people living with disabilities, promoting independence through services such as Meals-On-Wheels, transportation programs, and resources that enhance the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of seniors and underserved families. These programs are at no or very little cost.

Adopt-A Senior

This program helps to provide gifts to local seniors in need who wouldn’t otherwise receive any during the holidays. A member of the community can adopt a senior to provide holiday cheer. Please call for more information.

Foster Grandparent Program

This is a volunteer program where, as a Foster Grandparent, you are a role model and mentor serving at local schools and youth facilities. You help children learn and read, provide one on one tutoring and guide children at a critical time in their lives. Please call for more information.

Multipurpose Senior Services
Program - MSSP

This program helps frail elderly, who are at risk of placement in an institution, stay independent in their home. Each client will have a case manager to arrange assistance and monitor services. Some services arranged would include; meal preparation, transportation, shopping, physical or occupational therapy and much more! Must be 65 years or older and a Medi-Cal recipient. Senior Companion Program

As a volunteer (55 years +), you can become a volunteer and help a frail senior stay in their home. You can help by running errands or just be a friend which often times can help their caregiver with much need time off. Please call for more information.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

As a senior (55 years +), in our community you have gained a lifetime of valuable skills that can be put to work. As a volunteer RSVP allows you to choose how, where and amount of time you want to serve in the community. Please call for more information including benefits.

Payee Program

This program, for a very small fee, can help a senior pay their bills, manage their finances and protect from financial exploitation creating less stress and improvement in quality of life.

Tele-Care Program

This program can help lonely or shut-in seniors by receiving a phone call from a volunteer each morning.

Tax Returns Assist

This is a program through AARP (you don’t have to have AARP) that assists seniors and disabled persons with simple state and federal income tax forms during tax season. Please call for the schedule and locations.

Power to Seniors

Need help paying your electric bill? Was your power shut off or have received a notice? Funds are available for those who qualify. Must be 62 years or older. Please call for more information about eligibility.

Senior Transportation

Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Door-to-door transportation to doctor’s appointments, shopping centers, or to visit a friend. 24 hours advance registration. Wheelchair lift vans are available. Please call for the schedule or make a reservation. Donations are appreciated.
